Has anybody switched from the mini pill to IUD- non hormonal? I have been on the pill for years and I’d like to switch to something which doesn’t affect hormones

The iud still does affect your hormones, yes it’s mostly contained in the uterus but it does get into your blood so you will have some affecting your body.

^I think she means the copper or non-hormonal IUD. One major difference is that the non-hormonal IUD is associated with heavier bleeding for many people. Try putting "copper IUD" or "non hormonal IUD" in the search bar, you may be able to find people's experiences.
