Hey so I started taking birth control in January of 2024 then I stopped around August 2024 due to just forgetting over and over it’s now January 2025 and I’m gonna start it again. What should I expect?

I’d expect similar side effects as the first time you started the pill. I took a 2 year break from BC and it affected me a lot worse mentally this time around and had to stop entirely. But other times I stopped then started again, the side effects were similar (spotting, tender breasts etc)

you could have completely different side effects the second time around as you have to go through the adjustment period again. there’s no telling how different they will be, or if at all.

Unless you’re sure you can stick to taking your pills without forgetting I would look into other birth control options
