For some reason this has been on my mind since I started the pill about 5 years ago if you miss a pill you’re unprotected so why isn’t it the same on the break week? Because you stop taking the pill so surely you’d be unprotected I know you are protected but I can never make sense of it can anyone explain it to me?

also for a lot of combined pills you can miss ONE pill anywhere in the pack and stay protected

You’re not unprotected from missing 1 pill. If you start missing multiple per pack it’s a different question and it depends on the circumstances.
