I just got diagnosed with a sinus infection and double ear infection…. Getting put on an antibiotic. She said it shouldn’t interfere, which I know only two really do, but said I should be using a backup method anyway. Do I need to use backup method for the entire time I’m on my antibiotics, or do I need to use a backup for the entire antibiotic and then 7 days after? Update: It’s Amoxicillin and Clavulanate, and I am on my break week the 1st through the 7th, so I’d only be taking an antibiotic on 3 days of active pills. I don’t know if that makes a difference buuuttt.

Those antibiotics don't affect the pill unless they make you sick e.g. vomit or diarrhea

@aurielle It says on drugs.com that there is a moderate potential interaction between Augmentin (what that is) and my pill. I’m going to use backup protection but is sex before I started taking this pill now unprotected?
