Hi girls, I was taking my pills without breaks 6 month in row, now we talked witj mypartner that we will open a way to a baby so I will stop using my pills. Is it better to make one cycle or two with one week breaks or to stop using them immediatly? ❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌💊❌💊 Značka: Valette

You can stop whenever. But it's recommended to wait until you have your first natural period to have a more accurate due date if you do end up falling pregnant. Keep in mind the first bleed after stopping would be your withdrawal bleed (from lack of hormones) and the next one after a few weeks should be your real natural period. Also be aware that it can take up to a year to adjust being off the pill, and you may experience various symptoms such as irregular bleeding/cycles and that may make it more tricky to predict ovulation. You're best off using ovulation tests for that.

I was planning to start making regular breaks for 2 blisters, like 21days - 7 days break and then stop using my pills at all to make it not that drastic… Thank you for your comment :-)

But why though? Just curious. I don't think it makes a difference, it's entirely up to you. Break weeks are optional and not medically necessary. And if anything - it will delay the adjustment phase. But of course, do so whenever you're comfortable and want to do it.

I just think it is more natural for body.. it feels to me when I am going to stop takong my pills immediatly that its going to be very drastic for body to adjust that hormonal intake change… or? I have also thyriod disease I am here to ask for opinions :-) to make some picture before I will discuss it with my OB
