Hello! I take my pill everyday at 5 pm. I had severe diarrhea Friday morning about 5 times between 10 am - 12:30 pm (overall over 2.5 hours). Over 17 hours had passed since I last took my pill. However, it’s hard to tell how many cups it was but I think it was over 6 cups unfortunately. I don’t know if it was a stomach virus or something I ate Thursday. I went on with my day normally and was able to take my pill at 5 pm. I had one episode of less severe diarrhea again on Saturday morning though, again about 17 hours after my last pill. Also, I am a continuous pill user and this took place on my 33rd day of active pills. Since I have taken over 21 consecutively, even if the day of the diarrhea counted as “missed” I should still be protected right? I had sex Thursday night but he didn’t finish inside. I will not have sex over the next few days but I am just wondering if I need to take any further precautions to protect me from the sex I had on Thursday.

If you skip your break weeks then the missed day(s) will count as the break. Continue your pills as normal and you are fine x

You are fine you are a continues user. Your body will take it as a break day. But you were 17 hrs after your pill being taken so it won’t even count as missed. I believe it’s with 3-5hrs of taken the pill that it would be classed as missed .
