I know this app is for people mostly on the pill to prevent pregnancy. I took the morning after pill last month, and the reason for doing so was because after I checked if I had been ovulating as it was mid cycle and I was so I wanted to prevent pregnancy. However this month I haven’t ovulated at all, can morning after pill mess up your hormones the following month? I have tried to check online and on the app to see if I could get an answer but I can’t seem to see anything relating to this other than it can delay/bring on period and irregular bleeding

Plan b is a huge of dose of hormones and you may experience side effects for weeks, maybe even months.

Yes it can. Potentially for several months. I’m assuming you’re not on birth control? How do you know you haven’t ovulated and when exactly you were ovulating last month? Did you take a pregnancy test 3 weeks after unprotected sex?

@bluerose9 no I stopped birth control at the start of this year. I use this app along with Flo to track my period and it gives a window of possible ovulation and when fertility will be increased. I have also been testing for ovulation every day to try and understand my body a little more after coming off the pill. I have also taken a pregnancy test once I seen the ovulation tests as negative and it has also come back negative.

@Me30 it can take 9 months or even longer to fully adjust off birth control so potentially that’s a factor. But yes emergency contraception can really affect your hormones and your cycle

Hey, sorry to annoy you again. My period was due this week and it’s still not arrived which I have never had it late even by a day or two. Do you think it’s from the plan B even though I got my period as normal last month? I have taken another pregnancy test and the negative line was extremely dark

@Me30 plan b can definitely mess up your cycle, potentially for several months so it’s possible.
