I’ve noticed lately that overeating and constantly being hungry has become a main side effect of my birth control. I’m wondering how others who experience the same manage this symptom? I feel like it’s making me not feeling amazing about myself and I’d love to hear advice or others experiences!!

Definitely reach out to your doctor and they might be able to swap you over to something you feel more comfortable on

@meowdrien_ it’s exactly the same for me. I’ve tried multiple bcs and had the same side effects of hunger and weight gain, it sucks but it’s not uncommon and the best thing is to not worry about it. Easier said than done but in the end it’s often worth it :)

I also experienced increased hunger as a side effect of the pill. What works is eating more filling and satiating foods. For example increasing your protein intake or adding more whole grains can make you feel fuller for longer because it takes longer to digest. Sugary foods and snacks are filling for a short while, and often you may experience a blood sugar crash a lot faster making you want to eat more. Humans are also notorious for not drinking enough water. Dehydration can sometimes feel like hunger pains. I definitely struggle with that, but I notice a big difference when I do drink enough water.
