Hi, so I am 15 and I started the combined Levest Pill about a month ago. All it has done has made me feel like I am always on my period, has had continuous spotting, and I used to have really clear skin, now I get boulders every other day. Also, I wanted to get bigger boobs, but it hasn’t done anything. I asked to go on the Rigevidon pill but the doctor said this one was better but it isn’t working for me. What should I do?

A month is too early to say what it’s going to do for you. The adjustment period is 3 months for birth control, so try stick it out and see how you feel in another 2 months. Your age alone explains sudden acne, it’s not necessarily the pill causing that but it’s also a known early side effect that will go away as you get used to the hormones. As for bigger boobs, girly you’re only 15. You’re still growing and developing. The pill does not cause your breast tissue to grow. I genuinely wish it did haha. I was on the pill for 10 years and ended up getting a boob job a few years ago.

Thank you so much for your kind reply. I’ve never really had acne before, and neither has my mum, so we’ve always been quite lucky. It’s just appeared so suddenly since starting the pill, which is why it’s been a bit of a shock.
