i’ve posted about this before. i started the pill mid march and had two periods within a week of each other, the second lasted 12 days and finished just over a week ago. they were just over a week apart. since yesterday i’ve had brown discharge but specks of it when wiping rather than in my underwear, it isn’t sticking to my underwear as it’s barely visible. should i worry? am i pregnant or is this my body settling?? i’m so stressed and i also have cramps and normal watery, clear discharge. should i buy tests??? Brand: Cerelle

These are all normal side effects of birth control, there are no reasons why you should be considering pregnancy unless you missed a pill and had intercourse during that time, having a bleed does not mean pregnancy!

The answer doesn't change just because you post about it again. You don't have a real period anymore on the pill. And you're in adjustment phase (3-6 months) during which time you're more likely to experience side effects such as irregular bleeding (but that can also occur at any time). Give yourself some time to adjust. Use condoms if you don't fully trust your pill. You can always take a pregnancy if it's been more than 3 weeks since condomless sex and you believe you may have not have been protected by the pill. But educating yourself on what you're taking is key: know how it works, how to take it correctly and what may affect the pill's effectiveness (and what to do if that happens).

Irregular bleeding is normal, especially while getting used to the pill. Please use condoms or don’t have sex if you don’t trust your pill.
