Can I ask why you’re asking this question? Why do you need to take a plan b?

I already took it, and the moment I took it I had already taken 14 pills correctly. I wanted to know if the plan b disrupted the efectiveness of the pills i had already taken

But why did you take it? Did you miss a pill or something? Because a plan b is not candy it has a very high dose of hormones?

Yes, i had missed the first 3 pills of my previous pack

And my paphlet said that I had to use extra protection for the following 14 days if I miss a pill more than 24 hrs

@Melgirl have u had sex tho? because if u aren’t having sex during that period then there’s no need to take extra protection it jus ensures your cautious for sex. i also read that u should only take a limited amount of plan bs in ur life as they can affect your body and like @luaptsae said it has a high dose of hormones so only take it if it’s essential x

Yes, i had unprotected sex on the fifth day of my new pack. But I had already took 21 pills correctly from my previous pack before my break of 4 days

I already had my period and then started my new pack of pills

Then I don’t think you needed a plan b. That pill is really ONLY for emergencies. You’re protected when you start new packs as long as you’ve taken all your pills. Also the sex is not unprotected it’s just condomless, your birthcontrol is your protection!

I’m kinda confused as to when you missed your 3 pills tho? If you didn’t have sex within that timeframe of the missed pills you would of been protected again within 7 days after, and you said you took 21 pills

Heres how it goes: on my previous pack i had miss my first 3 pills bc i couldnt get a new pack of pills due to covid. My paphlet said that for pills missed less than 12 hrs i should use protection for the following 7 days and for pills missed more than 24 hrs i should use protection for the following 14 days. I had unprotected sex on the day where i had correctly taken the 14 pills, so my doctor told me to take plan b just in case. Then i proceded to take the rest of the pills correctly until i finished my pack of pills and had my break and my period came.

Okay, perfect got it! so yes as we said plan b was not needed here. You followed your pamphlets instructions. You’re fine & didn’t need a plan b.

I followed what my doctor said, she said that it was best to be precautious. But my worry now is if the plan b that i took affected the efectiveness of the pills that i had taken from the previous pack. Is it possible?

Next time you should stick you your pamphlets instructions, as for the effectiveness you’re still protected but you might experience some heightened side effects because plan b has a very high dose of hormones it throws your body off.

Thank you so much! I read the paphlet from the plan b and it said that the side effects could last 48 hrs but is it possible that I still have them? Because i have a slight period cramp and my period wont come for another 20 days. It has already been 2 weeks since i took the plan b.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to tell you how long your side effects will be because everyone reacts differently to taking plan b & you’re welcome 😇
