to those of you who have anxiety and overthink a lot, what do you do to help it?

I was pretty anxious and would overthink A LOT, I’m still tryna improve but everytime you do just take a deep breath and think of something positive or remind yourself that whatever you’re thinking it’s just a simple trick your mind is playing. That’s how I kinda cope with it

I use reiki stones like onyx which you hold and do breathing exercises 4seconds in, 4second hold, 4 second exhale! It helps a lot. Also try doing yoga exercises meant specifically for anxiety or hanging around good people who will be able to help with my anxiety with their positive energy

I do breathing exercises that my therapist showed me. I also like to Journal and write down how I’m feeling. Cleaning/ rearranging my room always helps me feel better and takes time so I’m busy and not worrying as much. If your overthinking and anxiety is severe than I would suggest getting on medication if you have tried diff techniques to help and nothing is working. I had very bad anxiety but I go on medication and after a few months I have really been noticing change in my attitude and mindset. I barley over think anymore. Don’t get me wrong, some anxiety’s will always stick around but it truly does get better x.

I’m a Christian, so I pray and ask the Lord to take those intrusive thoughts away. ☺️

If I’m home I take a bath, or write in my journal. But if I’m at work or not home I try to close my eyes breath in and out and try to think of things that make me happy. I also tell myself it’s okay no need to feel this way calm down you are okay. I try to reassure myself that I am okay.
