He’s your boyfriend, you can tell him these things if he’s not immature.

If you're both mature enough to be having sex, you should be able to have these conversations maturely too. He's your boyfriend, just tell him you started your period

If he is mature and grown to have sex, then he better be mature of the female body. If he can’t handle that, he can’t handle having a gf.
