Guys I’m confused the girl I got my kitten off said it’s a male but I can’t see no balls or penis he’s just turned 8 weeks old today how do u know the difference between a male and female kitten??

Says on the page that he should of started to gain his balls at this age🤦‍♀️

I messaged the girl I got him off and she said she’s 100 percent he’s a boy 🤷‍♀️

If you lift the cat’s tail you’ll be able to see it very easily. The unary tract for male cats is way below the anus than females (which is directly below it). It’s also rounder instead of a slit. I’d recommend using a google image for reference if you aren’t able to tell, or ask your veterinarian when you visit.

I don’t know if this is your first kitten or not but a cat penis doesn’t stick out like how a dog does. It’s hidden. Sometimes it’s hard to tell when they are so young also. You could see how the kitten pees. Does it matter if the kitten winds up being a female? Did you get the kitten from an ad online? When I adopted my youngest kitten Melody they were like there is a possibility that she is a male because it’s so hard to tell at such a young age sometimes. Obviously I would have still loved the kitten regardless of gender. Melody still winded up being a female and I did get her spayed so no babies for her. I think you should just take your kitten to the vet and they would be able to tell. 8 weeks old is still pretty young and kittens don’t all grow at the same pace.

Yh it is my first kitten that’s why I’m asking so many questions I thought the women I got him off gave me a girl one wen I asked for the boy 🤦‍♀️ the kid for the help girls he’s deffo a boy it’s like 2cm away from his bum hole that right ain’t it?x

@Pandafan1 I wanted a boy so I don’t end up with kittens as I work to hun I did tell the women I wanted a boy she said it’s definitely a boy so I just believed her he pees in a squatting position wen peeing and dose same wen pooping but he lifts his tail for a number 2 btw if that helps I feel so dumb but I just wanted to make sure 🙈

@Kelly_ that’s quite far down so that would mean it’s a boy!

Also keep in mind that cats aren’t dogs, don’t think you’re gonna see him lift his leg to pee 😅

Cats and dogs are completely different. Cats don’t lift their legs to use the bathroom. Both male and female lift their tail to poop. My two male cats squat to pee and they are definitely males since they are neutered. I mean that’s why you would spay and neuter so you wouldn’t risk getting kittens. If you never neuter your male he would spray all over your house and it would smell awful and if you let him outside then he would get a stray cat pregnant. If you winded up having a girl then she would have periods and could wind up pregnant.

@Yi_eune hahaha that’s wat I actually thought oh no I’ll have to do my research on cats iv only ever had a puppy this is my very first kitten 🤦‍♀️

@Pandafan1 I am getting him done between 5.6 months hun he’s being a house cat so that’s the reason I shouldn’t have to worry about kittens it’s just incase he ever dose get out wen he’s bigger I just don’t want to take the chance x

@Pandafan1 yes hun wen I take him to vets for his first lot injections I’m gonna ask to book him in for his bits to be done dead on 5 months and wen they down his check up and injection I’ll ask them to do the chip at same time x I got his caller yesterday x

@Kelly_ how exciting! I love buying my cats collars. I like to buy them bow tie collars because they look so cute and handsome in them. Having a kitten is so fun! I miss having kittens, but 3 cats are definitely enough for me plus my parents wouldn’t be happy with having more cats. My vet also did chip the same day as neuter. After you register the chip information on the website make sure if you ever move to update the new address on the website. A lot of people forget to update the address and when their pet accidentally got out it was still the old address.
