Random question, I normally take my pills anywhere between 8-10am. I took my Saturday pill at 7:30am and then took today’s pill (sunday) at 11:15am. I know it’s 24 hours is considered a missed pill, I’m on the combination pill, so my question is, am I still technically protected? I’m spotting which is pretty unusual for me but I just chalked it up to me taking today’s pill ‘late’. 💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊 Brand: Tri-Sprintec

Half an hour before the time you set to take your pill or taking it a few hours after doesn’t affect your protection. You wouldn’t “technically” be protected you WOULD be protected. The 24 hours just means that if you didn’t end up taking sundays pill till 7:30 am on the Sunday— then you wouldn’t be protected because you missed the 24 hour mark of when you’ve been constantly taking your pills..if this doesn’t make sense I can answer in a different way

@bubbles3264 thank you! So I’m protected, correct? It’s 24 hours AFTER that is considered a missed pill. Not 24 hours FROM my last pill? I should know these things and normally I’m fine but I’m psyching myself out since I can’t remember if it’s 24 hours from Saturday to Sunday’s pill or if I have a full 24 hours from when I normally take the pill. I think I’m making it more technical than it needs to be.

if you took saturday’s pill at 7:30am, you’re due to take sunday’s at 7:30am. on sunday at 7:30, you have 24 hours to take it so sunday’s pill is considered late on monday at 7:30am. does that help clear it up for you?

@minajxo yes! Thank you so much. Like I said, I think I’m over thinking it this time lol. The app says I’m still protected but not consistent. So my ‘shield’ is orange instead of green.
