So I take my birth control at 2pm and I took it at 12:47AM.. I know I’m protected cause I have a 12 hour window, but does anyone know how much less effective it is ?? 💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊🔶 Brand: Mirvala

It’s not less effective at all. Taking it within a 12 hour window is perfect use.

@Yi_eune the my pill tracker on this app says to maximize effectiveness I need to take it at the same time everyday

It’s not less effective? That’s what protected means

@canadiangal Don’t believe my pill, it’s inaccurate information. Believe your pamphlet.

@Canadiangal update your on time tolerance to 12 hours. You should also stop relying on the app telling whether you are protected or not as it’s really wonky. Trust your pamphlet.

@Yi_eune I don’t rely on the app and I know I have a 12 hour window knowing that I’m protected, also updated my tolerance to 12 hours. It just said to “maximize effectiveness “ which just made me super confused cause I thought If you take it within 12 hours your 99% protected, just was wondering if taking it later than usual would decrease effectiveness or not! Thanks for the info @newtonian

There isn’t really a scale of ‘protected-ness’, you’re either protected or not. As long as you take it within your 12 hour window then you’re fine.
