I’ve been on the levest pill since the beginning of the year, but this month I’ve bled lightly the week before my ‘period’. Me and my bf have sex quite frequently so I wasn’t sure if that was something to do with that or if it was just to do with the pill? Anybody have the same problem or know what might be wrong?

Probably just breakthrough bleeding which is a normal side effect effect of the pill.

I don’t think there is anything wrong, breakthrough bleeding is a normal side effect of the pill and can happen at any time regardless of if you are in the break week or not. If you are concerned that you are bleeding because of sex then I would go for a checkup but I doubt it’s that.

Does that effect the effectiveness of the pill at all?

^ no. Bleeding has nothing to do with your protection status. You're protected at all times as long as you take the pill correctly.
