I REALLY!! recommend a menstrual cup, especially if you have a light flow but prefer using tampons to pads. With the cup, you can leave it in for up to 10-12 hours (depending on the cup and your flow) and you can even put it in on light days/nights where you might not even bleed much - especially useful if you know you won’t bleed through a tampon. Also I put it in in advance the morning I expect my period and that’s completely fine, which is something you can’t do with a tampon so you don’t have to worry about leaking!
If you do decide to check out menstrual cups, I recommend organicup as they do a smaller size for teenagers/young women as well as the standard A and B sizes, they also allow you to exchange the size for free! Organicup works for me but other brands such as the Lilly cup are best shaped for high cervixes, so look into which one will work for your body best if you do decide to try it!! Xxx
