I’ve recently just started a new pack after having my period and I’m on pill number 2 - am I still protected from sex even though I’ve only had 2 not 7 ?

If you took your previous pills correctly and started your new pack on time then yes.

The ”7 pills” rule only applies when you’ve been unprotected because of missing a pill. When taking them correctly you’re protected all the time, including being protected throughout your whole break.
