i’ve recently switched pills. i’m on levelen ed and it told me to start in the red section which was a sugar pill. i just began my period when i switched. i had 3 sugar pills before i started the active pills. on the 4th day of my period i had unprotected sex. i’m worried that i might be pregnant seeing as though i switched pills and was not on enough active pills to be protected. i have been having symptoms that are both related to switching BC pills and early pregnancy but i’m not sure if i’m just paranoid because i was on my last day of my period when we had sex. sorry really confusing story but need some advice !!

Before you started the placebo week in your new pack, did you take a break week for your old pack?

no, i only have one sugar pill from my old pack and then 3 from my new pack. i started my new pack on a wednesday so in total i had 4 sugar pills before having an active pill. i’ve attached a photo of my news pack to give you an idea

So in total you only had 4 days off active pills? If so you’re fine. You would need extra protection if you took more than seven days off the pill
