Tw: maybe depression I am legit so sad to go to work now I don’t ever want to go because I know I cry when I’m there. My manager gives me the silent treatment and I just dread going in. I am looking for new jobs but I’m qualified for nothing so no one really wants me. I want to just quit right now but i need the money so I don’t know what to do anymore. Do I just hand my notice in now and be happy or do I stick it out and wait till I find a new job and dread being here while I am?

I’d say, unless you can’t live without the money, quit as soon as you can because being happy is a lot more important.

Would your current job qualify as experience, so that you can apply for another job? Qualifications are only a small part of getting a job, experience matters a lot more. I’d try to keep looking and applying for jobs and only hand in notice if I can survive without the money.

If you can afford living without working there I would definitely quit. Your mental health comes first. If you can't live without that money I would wait until I had found a new job. Is there anything you can do or anyone to talk to that is able to make your current work situation better?

Depending where you work, is there an option to transfer to another location doing exactly what you do so you do not have to be with your manager or is it the job itself that upsets you as well? I always say find a new job before quitting somewhere because at least it’s money and if it’s a while you don’t want to get stuck, but if you’re applying and it’s really affecting you I may just quit. It’s better for your mental health and at least you’ve taken the initiative to look elsewhere and hopefully something will come along. If you’re applying online, go in person to places and talk to people to possibly get the ball rolling faster

Quit. Mental state first 100%.

Honestly I’d find a new job first. I’ve always heard it’s a lot easier to find a job if you already have one. If you quit now, your mental state could worsen because you might suffer financially.

Thanks to you all! I’ve decided I’m going to stick it out by I’m applying for like 20 jobs an hour here hoping for the best. My mental state is all over and my anxiety is worsening by the day but I can’t face being jobless
