So I’ve had a belly piercing for about 6/7 months and it’s still not healing I think it has something to do with the actual metal piercing. I heard titanium is the best for belly piercing and was wondering should I switch it to see if it makes a difference? What’s the best metal for piercings ?

Don't switch it if it's not healed yet

If you think your piercer pierced you with the wrong jewelry, you need to go to a different piercer and have them put in implant-grade titanium. What are you cleaning it with and how often?

Don’t switch it until it’s healed, you’ll only cause more irritation. Perhaps contact your piercer and ask them questions you may have. Keep doing sea salt soaks 2-3 times a day or whatever your piercer recommend Personally I would do 2, one in morning and another at night. I was pierced with surgical steel

@hUNS_ That’s good! Can I also ask whether you have a traditional or floating navel piercing? A lot of the time people are pierced with traditional navel piercings and they never heal. Here’s the criteria for a traditional navel piercing.

@Huns_ And I’d definitely suggest going to a piercer to change the jewelry in order for it to heal properly. Having a professional piercer change out the jewelry before it’s healed is completely fine, just don’t attempt to do it yourself
