I have doubts about getting the vaccine because it’s only used with one strain of covid so god forbid another strain comes out and starts infecting people, you won’t be protected with the current vaccine.

@silkcity_ why do you have doubts about? If the vaccine protects against one strain, it still protects you and others. I don’t see how that’s a reason NOT to get vaccinated.

@Girlygirl77 The documentary is called coronavirus explained, the 2nd episode talks about vaccines and the whole process. It’s a few months old but it tells you why this vaccine came out quicker. One professor talks about how his funding for SARS was cut because the funding was cut, and if it hadn’t, then this vaccine would’ve come quicker. @smil so true. People drink out of water bottles all the time, or heat things in no microwave plastic etc. And eating random stuff that contains carcinogens.

they are already lots of strains of covid however they are under different names. there’s a strain that only affects animals and there’s a strain that is simply a cold. not all strains are “deadly” to us

it’s impossible to protect us from all the strains so why not take the vaccine that would be helping us now?

@silkcity_ Well it’s this strain that’s currently an issue so why not protect against it? If another strain comes out we can deal with that as it comes
