Has anyone else started their period in the middle of a pack before? I take the pill all the way through (no break weeks), have for awhile, and have never even had spotting. I also haven’t missed any doses. For the last few weeks I’ve felt like I’m on my period and now all of a sudden I’m bleeding kinda heavily. I know you can breakthrough bleed but just wanna make sure it’s normal to feel this gross lol.

(also want to add ive been so stressed lately i can hardly eat/sleep so i’d be curious to know if that ever contributes)

It’s just breakthrough bleeding, which can happen anytime. You also don’t have a period on the pill, it’s called a withdrawal bleed x

I remember I had this a few pacts ago I got a period right in the middle of my pact I then had another period on my break week so I guess it’s normal it may just be how ur body is reacting to the pill

@flowergirl21 Yes sorry I know, I should’ve specified, haven’t been active here in awhile so I forgot to use the correct wording haha. I just call it a period habitually. I know you *can* bleed any time, I just never had so it was surprising now that it actually happened after so long and wasn’t sure if there are ever triggers for it. Thank you!

Taking a break every once in a while could help

If you’re on a combined pill taking a break every few months will probably help alleviate breakthrough bleeding. I always get breakthrough bleeding if I skip more than 3 breaks in a row.
