Hey :) do you people have any advice how to stop overthinking and get a thought out of ur head

I write down what I’m worried/overthinking about, write the worst possible scenario to this situation, and write logical reasons as to why that scenario wouldn’t happen. My therapist taught me this, and it really helps me realize that my thoughts are just exaggerations, anxiety over nothing that could logically happen in real life! I hope that helps, hang in there ❤️

What the others said. Set yourself a time as well for when you’re going to overthink and worry that day so any time an intrusive thought comes up push it aside and tell yourself you’ll worry about it at x time instead. Also depending on what you overthink about I find being independent and being secure helps as no matter the problem you know you’ll be fine eventually and you don’t need to rely on anyone/thing for happiness or success x

Second writing your thoughts out and getting it all down on paper. If you don’t know where to start, google ‘thought record sheet’ . It’s a helpful tool that may help you break down those thoughts and see them for what they really are x
