For those of you who experience cold sores on your face how long does it normally take to go away? When you go out do people stare at you?

Depends on how bad it is but usually a week-10 days if you take care of it properly. I use lysine to keep it moisturised constantly so it doesn’t crack. I’ve never had anyone stare before, or if they notice they look away and don’t say anything

I don’t get them but my dad does and it usually takes a week or a little more to go away. No one really cares when you go out in public tbh.

Mine developed on Tuesday. I’ve never had an outbreak before but but always aware that I had the virus. I think maybe my pneumonia triggered it I’m not sure. It’s making me feel self conscious. Have any of you guys ever had it on your eyelid?

@Pandafan1 are you sure it’s not a stye? That’d be more likely to be on your eyelid than a cold sore

@a_marieee I’m not really sure. Because I think it developed after I touch my cold sores before I knew they were cold sores then I rubbed my eyelid

Hmm possibly. Might be worth having it checked out by a doctor.
