T/w mention of food habits.
Does anyone have any good healthy habits for me to get in to?
I am trying to be a lot healthier this year to feel better within myself. I started going to the gym last year, but this year I am trying to commit to 4-5 days a week of cardio or weight training and trying to drink a lot more water! I am also ensuring I have breakfast every day and eating 3 meals to cut back on snacking :)

Veggies, fruits and most importantly balance. Cutting foods out is not the best idea. Eating in a balanced way and in moderation will ensure that you maintain a healthy relationship with food

Yeah I’m trying to eat more balanced. I was going to count calories but I was scared it would lead to an unhealthy relationship with food with I don’t want ! @nIkeyxo

@Tessiexo counting calories is not necessary. a nutritionist i follow said that if you don’t want to count calories the best thing to do is have 3 meals a day and two snacks, he recommends one protein/fruit snack but it’s all down to personal preference and then find what works for you based on you goals so you might adjust portions, increase protein etc!

Trying to eat less processed food when you can and plenty of fiber are good habits! Also wearing sunscreen consistently every time you go outside. I also like taking walks to run errands or taking public transportation when possible instead of driving

I’ve been limiting processed foods and seed oils. I also eat a diet of a lot of meat and dairy, which has helped my mental health quite a lot. I get a good amount of sleep as well. Lastly, I try to stay active such as getting 10k steps a day.

I’ve been cooking more at home and eating out less. I’ve switched to olive/ coconut oil for cooking foods as well, because they both hold “high heat” and the body breaks it down better than other oils. I also started a morning stretching routine and meditation daily. I feel journaling is a healthy habit to do too.

I’ve been drinking smoothies with fruits and veggies since I’m a big texture person and can’t eat most fruits alone. I switched from vegetable oil to avocado oil and have been cooking at home for most meals.
