Is it normal to bleed after not having sex for a month? Me and my boyfriend used to have sex 1/2times a week. Then we stopped for 1 month for other reasons. Today we had sex and it was sore at first but then fine. I bled over his bed and when I went to the toilet it was like period blood. PleAse help??? X

Bleeding from sex is NEVER normal. How much foreplay did you get? Women need at least 30+ minutes of foreplay to be properly prepared for sex. Use lube too!

@Kitarah that is completely a false response. It’s common to bleed when you first have sex. Don’t reply false answers to people

@hey_bestie_x it’s common but that doesn’t mean it should happen or it’s “normal” and acceptable. It’s not ok to bleed because of sex. Bleeding, especially when discomfort and pain is involved, is not a good sign in any situation so it shouldn’t be normalised during sex either.
@hey_bestie_x make sure you’re getting enough foreplay and maybe use lube. If it’s uncomfortable or painful stop *immediately*!! If you’re in pain that means something’s not quite right x

@hey_bestie_x Just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s normal.

@hey_bestie_x Uh no it’s not?? Bleeding from sex should not be normalized, like at all. If a woman is bleeding from sex, it’s probably because there’s too much friction which means that she was not properly aroused. Please don’t say that it’s normal to bleed from sex, because it’s not.

Even if you bleed it should not be a heavy bleeding like on your period maybe he going at it too strong you need more foreplay and maybe be more gentle at first

@hey_bestie_x yes unfortunately it is COMMON, but that doesn’t mean it’s normal or that it should happen. Even the first time you have sex it’s not normal, it means you didn’t get enough foreplay and weren’t ready.

@Hissteria thanks. So do you think that’s the reason I bled this time after not having sex in a while? X
