I have been on the nexplanon for a month and I recently had sex for the first time in awhile since getting the implant inserted and my boyfriend ejaculated in me. I started bleeding dark red/brown the next day after having sex and started cramping. I later began to have nipple tenderness. I am still cramping a week later. Should I be worried about being pregnant?

No, the implant is one of the most effective methods of birth control there is. As long as you haven’t taken any medication that can interfere with it then there’s no reason to worry about pregnancy. Bleeding, cramping and nipple pain are all side effects of the implant. If you’re worried about pregnancy then maybe you should use condoms too until you trust the implant?
