I’m 16, i’ve never used BC before and i’ve been using Alesse 28 since December 18th. I take it perfectly, on time and never missed a pill; I have also been informed that breakthrough bleeding/irregular bleeding/exaggerated side effects are normal for the first 3 months. For context, Its the afternoon of January 11th and i’ve been bleeding since December 28th (heaviness of bleeding fluctuates). So i’ve been bleeding for 14 days (excluding today) and my break week (inactive/placebo pills) just started 3 days ago, on January 8th and I am planning on having intercourse on Saturday, January 15th, before I start my new pack. I am asking, hypothetically, Is it possible that my period will stop during my break week? Today i’m barely bleeding and it looks like it’ll stop and if it does- (like on tomorrow for example) am I still protected from pregnancy if I have sex on Saturday before starting my new pack of active pills? 💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💤💤💤💤 Brand: Alesse 28

Unfortunately no one knows how your body will react. Having a break week might help, but there’s no guarantee that you’ll stop bleeding

And you’re always protected on your break week if you’ve been taking your pills correctly
