Hi I’ve been taking desogestrol (POP) for over 5 months now and I always use a condom when having sex. I really hate using condoms. I still get my period. How do I know that the pill is definitely working and will prevent pregnancy without the use of a condom. I take it pretty much perfectly every day 💊⚠️💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊⚠️💊 Brand: Cerazette

Im on the exact same pill and have been for around 4-5 months. Me and my boyfriend never use condoms and he finishes inside of me every time. Never had a pregnancy scare☺️

Also make sure you and your partner have both been tested for STI’s before you stop using condoms! X

@Jess492 No hun! I breakthrough bled for around 15 days a month ago but haven’t had anything since! I’ve been quite lucky because when i was on this pill a few years ago, i bled for so long! 🤣 x

@LexiLoo98 yeah I still get somewhat normal-ish periods on this pill. Tbh I went on the pill for dual contraception and the fact I have a genetic bleeding disorder so naturally if I do have any bleedings at all- they’ll be heavy! Condoms are a hassle and so expensive for what they are! Me and my boyfriend are both clean( no STIs) so we knew there was no real need for condoms but we just aired on the side of caution xx

@Jess492 Honestly if you and your boyfriend are comfortable with it and you’re both ready, you could go condomless and still be protected! I think you will be a bit nervous the first time you don’t use a condom, but in my opinion this is completely normal because I was too! But after that; when I realised my pill did what it was meant to do (not get me pregnant), me and my boyfriend was both comfortable with it and felt safe not using any other contraception. You do what’s right for you and your relationship and have fun!!! Just be careful when it comes to vomiting or diarrhoea and you’ll be absolutely fine 💜 x

@LexiLoo98 aw thank you so much! Yeah I’ve been having a few infections lately so I might stick with a condom for the next couple of weeks but I think I am definitely ready to go condom-less. You’ve been so helpful! It’s greatly appreciated xx
