How trustworthy is the implant? I’ve had it for nearly 2 years and I’ve had 3 UTIs and I’m pretty sure I have one now but according to two doctors I don’t. I’ve got pressure on my abdomen and I’m weeing a lot. A few days ago it was burning but my doctor gave me emergency antibiotics and it’s not burning anymore. I’m just peeing so much now and I have constant pressure on my abdomen....???

It sounds like uti but i think if antibiotics don’t work it could be something else so maybe go to third doctor. Answering your first question - it is the most effective bc method according to Wikipedia

So do you not think it sounds like I’m pregnant then? Im always worried I may be even though I’m on the implant

No it is not connected at all. UTI doesn’t mean that you are pregnant. Implant is the most foolproof method and what you said isn’t sign of pregnancy

The implant is the most effective form of birth control out there. I recommend getting a second opinion on the UTIs. There have been studies recently showing that women who experience chronic UTIs get false negatives on tests frequently because the samples do not get long enough cultures for the bacteria to show up. Here’s an article about it if you’re interested: {SIsdt7xm6}
