Hi ladies, so I need some advice. I’ve on the last week of my pill pack (Yasmin), and I took two pills more than 12 hours late last week. I’ve also been sexually active with my husband.. and my period came way early. Like almost 2 weeks early. I’ve been on the pill for 4 years now and have always gotten my period on the same day (4th day break) with it lasting 4 days each time. And it has never changed since I started the pill 4 years ago. For some weird reason this month, my period came this past Sunday, while I’m still on active pills, which would make it about 10 days early! What’s even weirder is that the bleeding only lasted for 2 days, both days being light (didn’t even fill up much of ONE pad) and completely stopped. Should I be concerned? Has anyone experienced this before? I can’t seem to find my answers! 😰

If you missed 2 pills then you could be at risk for pregnancy.. did you follow your pamphlets instructions when you missed the pills ?

Yasmin has a 12 hour window. Most pills allow 1 missed pill but not 2, especially if they were in the same week. Did you wait until you’d taken 8 pills correctly before having condomless sex? If not get an emergency contraceptive if it’s not too late and take a test in 3 weeks regardless. Irregular bleeding is common after missing pills so experiencing breakthrough bleeding is normal.

@Madi i took two pills at the same time the next day for both times that I had missed the pills... 😕

@bluerose9 no I didn’t wait to take 8 pills correctly before having condomless sex :/ should I still wait and see if my period comes regularly during break week?

@Jazzy as you missed pills your period may be out of whack and besides it’s not a definite indicator that you’re not pregnant... so take a test in 3 weeks and make sure to use extra protection until you’ve taken 8 pills correctly.

Well the fact you didn’t wait 8 days before having condomless sex puts you at risk but you also missed pills Make sure you aren’t pregnant that’s number 1 if you arents pregnant and it’s just from the pills then it’s normal but don’t have sex without protection until you’ve spent atleast 7-8 days on the pill correctly
