Hey ladies! Has anybody had experience with getting an emergency supply from your pharmacy?? In the case that the prescription isn’t ready yet

I’ve never gotten one from the pharmacy, it’s actually been my gynecologist who has provided with an emergency pack when my pill wasn’t filled on time.

Oh interesting! Did you just call and then walked into the office to get the pack or did you have to schedule an appointment?

@smurfette74 I called and explained the situation and since my gynecologist has sample packs of my pill in her office they told me to stop by and pick one up. No appointment necessary.

when that happened to me you can run in and say what's happened and they gave give you an emergency month so you have time to sort out the normal one x

What do you mean your prescription isn’t ready? Your pharmacy doesn’t have it ready or there’s an issue with your doctor?

@lilybee They’re waiting for doctor approval of my refill but it’s the weekend

You can try asking the pharmacy for an emergency fill, but sometimes they may not give it to you since it’s a whole pack/month’s worth, and emergency supplies are really only supposed to be 3-5 days. If anything, you can try calling your doctor’s office to see if they have an urgent care doctor there over the weekend that can approve it for you!
