Went on a date , and when I got there the guy told me he was scrolling through hinge just to “past time”. Would that turn you off?

Yeah that would turn me off. I understand if he’s doing it in his own time assuming you guys aren’t exclusive, but while waiting for a date… come on

Did he tell you that or did you happen to see him? To me it would be weird if he made a point of telling you but otherwise not a problem. I do it mindlessly at times as well. If it’s one of your first dates and he was doing it before yu arrived I don’t think it’s a problem

I would consider it a bit rude and sensing he isn’t interested in me.

Yeah I’d be annoyed too. That happened to me once, but it was a FWB situation so I brushed it off.

Did y’all meet on hinge?? Was it just like awkward ice breaker convo? Like an accident or “foot in the mouth” I wouldn’t automatically assume he meant to put you off and be rude. It’s was just a First date, yeah? Hmm, No, unpopular opinion — but I’d probably wouldn’t take offense to something like that on the first date. Maybe he’s a little socially awkward, or nervous and said something “dumb” I’d probably tease him and be extra cheeky all night for it— lol and instead of taking offense I’d probably say something like…oh yeah, how did that work out for you? Or at the end of the date I’d be like, ‘well I guess I’ll let you get back to your hinge scrolling now, thanks for the human contact…lol. But I am a cheeky flirt and I am secure when being sassy with men, and I push back. I wouldn’t be bothered.
