Soo This is my first time taking birth control and I’m still a bit confused on how the placebo pill works. I started taking BC on a Sunday which was also my first day of my last period almost 3 weeks ago and next week im supposed to take the placebo pills. But my period is supposed to come the week after the placebo pills, do I still follow my pack and take them next week or am I supposed to take them the week I get my period. 💤💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊⏱ Brand: Mono-Linyah

You don’t get a period with birth control, it is called a withdrawal bleed which is synthetic. It occurs on your break week when you take the placebo pills, but sometimes it may not come (which is totally normal). It is important to take your pills correctly, so follow the packet. If your withdrawal bleeding does not occur during your break week do not worry, and also any bleeding that occurs whilst taking active pills is called breakthrough bleeding which is a very common side effect of the pill especially the first 6 months of taking it.

Your old cycle doesn't apply anymore so disregard when your period is "supposed" to come. Take your pills in exactly the order directed regardless of bleeding, you may experience bleeding during the placebo week or you might not
