So I got my second breakout of herpes within 3 weeks off each other and is just as painful as my first outbreak. Please someone share with me tips on how to lessen the chances of a breakout or with pain relief. I’ve lost my boyfriend because I refuse to have sex with him in the last 3 weeks. Any help is much appreciated.

Were you ever given medication to help the outbreaks?

Girl if he was more concerned about you not wanting to have sex than the fact that you were in pain, he's trash. And sometimes the trash takes itself out. Beyond that, I've seen a couple girls on here say that a bath can help. I'd really reach out to your gyno when you're having an outbreak because they may be able to give you medication to help.

I didn’t really think to respond about your boyfriend because I’m more concerned about you, but I totally agree with @sams2095. He’s complete trash and you deserve way better than him. A bath is only temporary relief unfortunately. I don’t personally know of anything to prevent outbreaks, but maybe your gyno does? I’ve just never read anything or heard of anything. But definitely Wear loose clothing if possible so nothing is rubbing on the sores. Maybe ask your gyno if there is a cheaper version of whatever you’re on?
