Don’t blame yourself first of all I know that might seem silly to say but sometimes you might feel like you could have done something different and thinking like that never least to anything positive . The first few months it will probably be on the front of your mind but honestly it a rollercoaster for a while but the rollercoaster does stop

HSV1 is insanely common! Over 80% of the population has it and oftentimes it won’t even show up on a blood test so many people don’t know they have it until they have an outbreak (cold sore if it’s oral). If you really think about it, when walking into a room, statistically 8-9/10 of the people you see have it. Personally, I’ve had it since I was a baby. My parents kissed me on the mouth when I was a baby and I never actually had a cold sore until I was about 11. I know it’s much easier said than done, but it’s super common and nothing to stress about!
