hello everyone! i’m in a bit of a situation. i ran out of my birth control and cant get it refilled until monday. my 4 week (i took an extra week of keeping my nuvaring in since i remain protected) ends tomorrow so then i’ll be on my break. will i still be protected? my boyfriend is coming over and i’m a little bummed if we can’t have sex but it’s better to be safe than sorry. i’ve been crying because i hate getting my period and taking a break week means getting my period and cramps. i’m just upset :( any words would help even though it’s so stupid since i’m someone with a uterus and i shouldn’t be sobbing over a period. i’ve just been skipping my period for months now i’m so unhappy with getting my period again. i’m still confused about when i’m protected on nuvaring versus when i’m not so some information from anyone who’s on it would also be helpful! thank u :)! 🔄••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Brand: NuvaRing

If your method allows for a break week then you don’t lose protection by taking a break. Your break will be protected as long as you can fit your ring back in on time after your break days are up. You could also opt to use condoms if it makes you feel better.
