I have been taking the combined pill brand microgynon 30 and have just gone to pick up my next prescription and it’s a different brand called ambelina. It says they both contain the same dose of each hormone so will they therefore effect me the same or could i experience other side effects with the different type? Thank you

They should affect you the same since the dosage between the two brands are the same. The only difference would be sometimes different brands use different filler ingredients.

@Pandafan1 Okay thank you, do you know if filler ingredients ever cause any significant differences or are they just ineffective?

I think maybe if you had an allergy to the filler ingredient then that would probably have an impact on your body, but otherwise it doesn’t.
