Went to a taco restaurant yesterday for lunch with my friend. After ordering we found a table to sit down as we waited for the food to be brought out to us. The person literally just dropped the food off onto the table and said “You guys are welcome.” Implying that we didn’t say thank you, but she didn’t exactly give us a chance to. What would you have done in the situation? Would you have just ignored the comment? Would you have said something?

It depends, if it was really busy I wouldn’t bother and I wouldn’t take it to heart but if it wasn’t busy then I would’ve spoken up.

This would piss me off, but I’ve also worked in hospitality and it’s a nightmare so I’d try and not be angry. If it was quiet, I’d ask her ‘what she meant by that?’ Maybe she was having a bad day, still no excuse to treat someone badly like that tho.
